Low priced golf courses are out there, believe it or not. Cost is a major inhibitor for many golf enthusiasts who would like to play more frequently. Expensive private membership fees or overpriced public courses on top of the cost of getting clubs, and all of the necessary equipment to play the game keep many lovers of the sport from their favorite pastime. However, if you know where to look, you can find high quality, inexpensive golf courses.

One of the first questions I hear when I tell people about the benefits of low priced golf courses regards the quality of these courses. My answer has always been that you can find a great, challenging course that does not require a second mortgage on the house to play. These less expensive alternatives provide a cost effective way for a serious golfer to tighten up his game on a variety of courses. It also allows a beginning golfer an inexpensive means to learn the game without committing large amounts of resources to a sport that they may not stick with.
